DO NOT UPDATE THE BIOS FOR THIS LAPTOP! KEEP IT ON F.00! LATER REVISIONS ADD THE BIOS SECIRUTY JUNK WHICH MAKES WHITELIST REMOVAL IMPOSSIBLE!
This laptop is meant to be a thin client with a single-core Celeron at 2GHz, 2GB of RAM and a 2GB Flash SSD. The SSD is removable and a hard drive can be added in the bracket. See CPU support down below.
Broadcom BCM43224 works with switch and switch LED, using proprietary broadcom wl with a kernel version under 3.7, because somewhere in this version, wl just stops working, unexplained. until Broadcom gets off their lazy rump and fixes wl support for Linux (unsolved as of early July 2013 at the time of this submission), this will not work with a kernel over version 3.6.x in most cases.

Everything else seems to work fine. The HD Audio works best through PulseAudio.
Take a note that the graphics chipset is a 4500M and not a 4500M HD, because the NB Chipset itself is a GL40 for this laptop and not a GM45.

The GL40 works with Penryn Core 2's, and in some cases will even accept the quad-core Q9000 series mobile chips, but I don't know about that for this laptop. a T8100 runs moderately cold with an idle temperature of 26-31C given Speedstep is active.

Touchpad is Synaptics-based. External VGA or HDMI output has not been tested by me, the submitter, with Debian (Wheezy Stable). proceed to do so at your own risk.

Besides the Wireless card needing a nonfree solution (since bcrmsmac and brcm80211 are junk), the rest of the laptop, incliuding all power-saving/ACPI functions, works completely out of the box with extremely minimal userland configuration to taste.
