Still early days.  Installed 64 bit Squeeze in an encrypted LVM having left the Windoze 7 boot/recovery and main "C:" drive partitions in place (latter reduced in size).  Can only get "monitor unknown" and 1024 * 768 which is frustrating and the biggest challenge at the moment is that the screen doesn't come back after putting the machine into sleep mode.  I can hear that it's still there as the speaker beeps if I hit crtl-alt-del (I know, old windoze habits!)  Love to link up with someone else who is wrestling with Debian on this machine.
